Teagan Trace is a screenwriter and producer who originates from New Orleans, Louisiana.
In 2021, Teagan wrote and produced the short film Keeping Kasen. The film has been an official selection in the Scarab Short Film Festival (2022), Black Film Festival Atlanta (2022), Atlanta Award-Qualifying Film Festival (2022), Atlantic Bridge Film Festival (2023, and the Aphelion Film Festival (2023).
At the start of 2023, Teagan produced the short film Vision Board. In addition, Teagan is currently producing a documentary about mental health and is in the pre-production stages of the upcoming feature film Heads or Tails.
Teagan's feature screenplay, Lexi and Annie, was selected as a semi-finalist in the Blue Cat writing competition in 2022. All The Ifs, a short screenplay, was also chosen as a semi-finalist in the 2022 48-Hour Screenplay Throwdown competition hosted by WriterDuet. Teagan's pilot screenplay, We Heard A Boom, was also selected as a semi-finalist in the 2023 Blue Cat writing competition.
Teagan studied English and Creative Writing at Xavier University of Louisiana, where Teagan was the 2010 recipient of the Truman Capote Literary Trust Award.
