As a prominent actress and writer/producer, Shauna has a passion for creating content and showcasing her talent across several genres. She is a former student of the Patel Conservatory of Arts, where she served as a spokesperson. She can be seen in television commercials and films including the Hallmark Channel’s “A Nashville Christmas Carol” alongside country music recording artists Wynonna Judd, Kix Brooks,RaeLynn, and Sara Evans. Shauna, with her husband, own and operate Rude Awakening Pictures, a production company specializing in music videos, script consulting, and filming projects from concept to creation. They have produced their own projects through this medium, winning several awards including the Atlanta Comedy Film Festival’s Best Georgia Screenplayand are recognized among the top 10% of writers on Coverfly.
Shauna holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Kennesaw State University. It was here that she earned a specialization from the Joel A. Katz Music and Entertainment Business Program and met her former instructor, NAACP-nominated writer/director Rhonda Baraka (Chandler Family Christmas, Bobbi Kristina)who encouraged her to further pursue screenwriting. Shauna is currently working towards an MBA at Louisiana State University where she is a proud member of the Honor Society. She is also a board member for The Art of Confidence Foundation supporting the development of performing arts education. Through philanthropy, Shauna plans to continue the legacy of her mentor and late father-in-law (Rev. James Stanley, former Treasurer - NAACP Atlanta), advocating humanitarianism and education through community enrichment.
